Access to your driving licence information

By entering your details here, you are authorising us to complete a driving licence check
on your behalf; this information is required to validate your policy.

This service replaces the need to send the paper counterpart. Please note we will still require you to forward a copy of the front and back of your photocard licence.

 

U Drive Cover Ltd will access the DVLA driving licence database and see:

  • What vehicles you can drive
  • Any penalty points or disqualifications you have

      This is 16 characters, both letters and numbers, which can be found on your Driving Licence. See the image to the right.

      This is up to 9 characters, both letters and numbers, which can be found on your National Insurance Number Card. See the image to the right.

      This is the postcode which is associated with your driving licence,
      this can be found on your driving licence.

      You can use your phone, camera or scanner to take a picture of your documents for uploading.

      We accept PDF, JPEG, PNG and GIF files up to 10MB in size.

      I agree that U Drive Cover Limited can access the DVLA driving licence database on my behalf by doing so I agree for the details of my DVLA record and National Insurance number will be shared with government departments (HMRC and DWP) to check my identity and with the insurer my policy will be placed with, as described in our privacy policy.
